Streaming dreams come true with the Spotify, Hulu package

Spotify wants to give students many perks. The Stream Yourself Out tour on Nov. 10 at the Royale is a free event for premium members to celebrate their “Spotify for Students” services.

Now we students all love free things and don’t like paying monthly for music. I get it.

Think about how much you spend for an entire album on iTunes or other music streaming services.

In case you didn’t already know, Spotify offers a student discount of 50% off their standard subscription with additional access to Hulu streaming services. 50% off translates to $4.99 a month with your Emerson College email.

To me paying $4.99 for unlimited music while I am a student makes sense. Save those unspent doll hairs and “Treat yo’ self” to a live show that requires cover.

Spotify is offering free live shows to their premium members and the first event streams live from Royale in Boston!

The invitation for Stream Yourself Out tour sent via email by hello@spotify.com on November 1, but it isn’t too late for you to RSVP by going premium with your Spotify account.

I didn’t have to create a new account—I chose to upgrade and didn’t lose any of the content tied to my original free version of Spotify.

The Spotify tour dates are as follows:

11/10 – Royale – Boston = https://royaleboston.com/

11/12 – DC – Lincoln Theater = https://www.thelincolndc.com/

11/13 – Philadelphia – TLA = http://venue.tlaphilly.com/

11/14 – NYC – Brooklyn Bowl= https://www.brooklynbowl.com/

The Stream Yourself Out tour is exclusively for premium subscribers and their plus one.

This event is 18+ and your ID will be checked to match with the RSVP information.

Be advised the tour filming; you should be comfortable with your image possibly being used by Spotify in the future if you are to attend and land yourself in front of a camera. So please do not participate if that makes you uncomfortable.

November 10, 2017, doors will open at 5:30 p.m. at Royale in Boston, which is walking distance from the Emerson College campus.

Remember admission is free, but space is limited, so get there early. The event will be over by 9:30 p.m.

The lineup includes a stream of music and comedy, without the pesky screen.

Basically, Spotify offers two services for one low price and free events that you can RSVP to with a plus one sounds like a streaming dream coming true.

I don’t know why you are still reading this article with this revolutionary music news.
