Genre-Crossing Segues

By Cody Kenner

For this playlist, I simply tried to string together songs that segued well into each other but were each very different in terms of style and instrumentation. For instance, the heavy bass line in Of Montreal’s “Gronlandic Edit” carries into Datarock’s “Fa-Fa-Fa,” and the crackling radio of Queens of the Stone Age’s “Go With the Flow” morphs into the sounds of Neko Case’s “Outro With Bees (Reprise).” Check it outโ€”it’s an interesting ride!
